An elegant celebration of Italian flavours and wines unfolded at the Culinary Collection Series with Antinori Wines, hosted at Kucina, Penang Marriott Hotel. This special evening brought together the talents of Executive Sous Chef Azhar Azmi of Penang Marriott Hotel and Chef Andy Choy, Executive Chef of N.I.C.E Bistronome, in a collaborative menu that showcased the artistry of Italian cuisine paired with the heritage of Antinori winemaking.

Our favourite of the night was the Burrata, a delicate creation of creamy burrata cheese paired with Shah Alam figs and hazelnut crumble. Its fresh, velvety richness found a perfect match in the Antinori Cervaro della Sala Umbria IGT 2020, a wine of refined structure and lingering elegance. Each course reflected a thoughtful balance of flavour and texture, highlighting the harmony between the chefs’ culinary vision and the wines’ distinctive character.

Grateful to be part of this remarkable dining experience. The seamless pairings, intimate setting, and warm hospitality at Penang Marriott Hotel made the evening an inspiring celebration of Italian culinary and winemaking traditions.
