An exquisite evening of wine and cuisine came to life at the Banfi Wine Dinner by Penang Marriott Hotel. The event featured a thoughtfully designed menu paired with the distinguished character of Banfi wines, highlighting the elegance of Italian winemaking.
Led by the insightful presentation of Mr Guillaume Blanchard, each course was thoughtfully paired with labels from the Banfi collection, creating a harmonious balance between flavour and heritage. Among the standout dishes for us was the Brodo Di Aragosta, a clear lobster broth enriched with caramelized onion, Boston lobster meat, and edamame. This was followed by the Carre Di Agnello, a perfectly crusted lamb rack served with Sicilian caponata, roasted shallots, and shallot jus. The pairing with our personal favourite wine of the night, the Castello Banfi Cum Laude Toscana IGT 2021, a bold yet balanced profile and a persistent finish.
